Frequently Asked Questions
The questions that come up on calls, answered the way we answer them on the phone.
What kinds of jobs do you take on?
Repairs, installations, and punch lists: drywall and painting, door repairs, battery-powered smart locks, TV and wall mounting, furniture assembly, shelving and storage, pressure washing, and rental turnovers. If it is on the list of eleven services, we do it. If it is not, we will tell you.
What work do you refer out?
We refer out anything that ties into your home's water supply or drain lines, anything that connects to its power, its cooling system, its roof, or its structure, mold over ten square feet, and any job that needs a permit. Florida requires a state license for that work, and we would rather hand you a name than take on something we should not. You will hear it from us before a quote goes out, not after work starts.
Do you take small jobs?
Yes. A single doorknob hole is a real job to us. Bundling a few small tasks into one visit gets the most out of a trip, so send the whole list.
How do quotes work?
Call, text a photo, or use the quote form. Many jobs can be quoted from photos alone. Larger or unclear jobs may need a short visit first. Either way, you approve the price before any work starts, and we reply within 2 business hours.
Are you licensed?
Florida doesn't issue a handyman license. We handle repairs and installations that don't require a state contractor's license, and we refer licensed work to pros who hold the right one. That is the honest answer, and it is the same one you should get from anyone working in your home.
What areas do you serve?
Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Hollywood, Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Gardens, Hialeah, Kendall, and nearby communities across Broward and Miami-Dade. Not sure? Text us your ZIP code and we will tell you straight.
How soon can you come out?
Most jobs are scheduled within a few business days. If something is urgent, call rather than emailing, and we will tell you honestly what the schedule can do.
Do I need to be home?
An adult should be there at the start and at the end, so we can walk the job together before we begin and before you pay. Landlords and property managers can arrange lockbox access for vacant units.
Do you bring materials?
We bring standard hardware, anchors, and patching and painting supplies. You can supply items like TV mounts, smart locks, and furniture, or we can pick them up for you. Either way, the quote says which.
Can you match my wall texture and paint?
We match common textures like orange peel and knockdown, and we color-match paint. Older paint fades, especially on a sunny wall, so a touch-up may not blend perfectly. When that is likely, we say so first and usually recommend painting to the nearest corner.
Can you mount a TV on a concrete block wall?
Yes. Most South Florida homes have block exterior walls, so this is routine work for us. We use masonry anchors rated for the weight of your mount and TV together, not whatever came in the box.
Do you work with landlords and real estate agents?
Yes, regularly. Turnovers, work orders, pre-listing punch lists, and inspection items, all photo-documented. See our pages for property managers and for real estate agents.
Still have a question?
Call or text and you will get a straight answer, even if the answer is that the job is not a fit for us.
